Indian food with a separate vegan menu and mockmeats

Vegan entrees include Vegetable Biryani (without cheese), Saag Aloo (spinach with onions, tomatoes and herbs) and Aloo Mutter (peas and potatoes with onion, ginger, garlic and spices). In cooperation with Mercy For Animals' Veg Illinois Campaign, six new vegan dishes with chicken and/or beef substitutes have been added to the menu, including Ginger "Chicken" and Baba's Special (mock chicken and beef with vegetables, ginger, garlic and spices). Naan and batura breads are not vegan. Dairy-free soymilk shakes in apple, strawberry, blueberry, banana and almond-pistachio flavors are also available. Average cost of a meal is $9.

The food was so-so. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was pretty bland. The mock meat was mediocre, and the service was ok. What makes it special is that it's an Indian place with a selection of mock meats.

Great place to go for lunch if you work downtown! This place is a big hit with everyone at my office. The mock meats are very tasty.
