Known by many for its pies, Bakers Square also serves American cuisine
Bakers Square serves up traditional American cuisine, which means not a lot of veggie options. There are a few veggie, even vegan!, options should you find yourself at a Bakers Square establishment.
The veggie stir-fry pita, boca burger, and red chili are all worth a try. The boca burger used is vegan according to the staff I contacted at Bakers Square Home Office.
Bakers Square restaurants exist everywhere, so they may be a good option for your next road trip. (Clone this entry for the next Bakers Square you visit.)

Bakers Square is not such a bad place for vegans if you know how to order your food, and of course if the staff will comply with your requests. I should know because I work there. As a employee and vegan I shall give you a couple of helpful hints in ordering. Always ask for them to cook your vegetables in a separate pan not on the grill. Most Bakers Squares only work off one flattop grill where of course many meats are cooked. A clean pan can assure you that no meat will touch your food. Microwaving the "Boca" patty would also be a good bet. Know that anything can be cooked without oil, but we generally do not use butter when cooking, it is grill oil. Also the pies are never made with lard and the crust is made with shortening. Hope these little bits of information will help you with your next visit to Bakers Square.
I was surprised to find that there were a few vegetarian options here. I can't speak to any strict vegan selections, but if dairy is ok for you, there are some choices. I don't trust pie crusts when I dine out, so I don't order the pies...although to be fair, I have never asked if it contains lard. Maybe next time I swing by I'll ask, because that pecan pie sure looks tasty.
I was at a Bakers Square for lunch once, and I ordered the veggie pita dish, and it came drenched in terriyaki sauce and the vegetables had very little taste. So yes, it was vegetarian, but it also tasted terrible.
I ordered the Boca Burger and asked them to microwave it rather than cook it on the same grill as the animal burgers, and they honored that request. They also left off the butter from the bun. While it's certainly wasn't the best veggie burger I have ever had, it is nice to know that it is possible to get a vegan entree at such a mainstream place, that has a reputation (in my mind anyway) of being very unfriendly towards vegans. The toppings were some wilted iceburg lettuce, a slice of tomato, a couple of pickle slices, and some onions. You have the option of choosing fries, fresh fruit, or cole slaw to accompany your burger. The fruit option is pretty pitiful - I got two tiny chunks of honeydew, three tiny chunks of cantaloupe, and five or six purple grapes. The service was straight forward and the server was nice enough about my questions regarding the grill.
Anything you ate at Bakers Square is more than likely cooked on the same flat top grill as the hamburger before it without being cleaned first.
Baker's Square has mostly non-vegan options. The menu and decor are very simliar to Perkin's, if you know that restaurant.
The Boca burgers, however, are great (large patties). Just make sure they don't toast the buns with butter.

We left without eating yesterday. We were regulars, but will not go back. It keeps getting worse. No Boca burger on the new menu. Veggie melt was removed previously. The stir fry rice has chicken fat. None of the pies are ever vegan. The stir fry pita available "without chicken", is all that is left. Very sad.
