The Pride of the South Side

Organization

The University of Chicago Vegan Society primarily focuses on vegan outreach. We strive to make campus dining venues as vegan-friendly as possible. Some of our past events have included:

-a huge World Vegan Day celebration
-Try Vegan Week (an week-long event in which 186 students pledged to go vegan for a week)
-vegan dinners for Thanksgiving and passover
-a vegan Easter "egg" hunt
AND we've hosted prominent vegan speakers such as Howard Lyman, Carol Adams and former presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich

This year we plan to have a number of similar events, many of which will be open to the public. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.
