A worldy American restaurant
The Spotted Dog serves a variety of dishes, vegan-friendly. Dishes include: hummus, salads, rice & beans, tofu burgers, peanuts & spiced tofu, etc. Vegan deserts are served as well (they change daily). The bar serves drinks, local and imported. Local art is always on display and for sale. There are a few TVs set up, usually set to some ESPN event.
From UNC-Chapel Hill/Downtown Chapel Hill:
Follow Franklin Street into Carrboro, where it becomes E. Main Street. When the road splits, Spotted Dog is right in front of you.
From 15-501 and 54:
Take the Merritt Mill/Smith Level exit, follow the signs to downtown Carrboro.

Great vegan place. The rice and beans is huge, and tasty (esp. with the hot sauce). The hummus is dee-vine, served with pita wedges. Their salads are also generous. The menu clearly labels vegan and vegetarian item, and the staff is always friendly.
