A close vegetarian friend of mine has complained in the past that there aren't many vegetarian restaurants in our area, but I found this place tucked in the heart of New Rochelle, NY. The owners were very nice and the chef even came out of the kitchen to sing us a jazz tune. His cooking and his voice are phenomenal. Not being a vegetarian myself, I truly enjoyed the food selection Jolo's had to offer. They serve buffet style as well as menu items, a large variety of juices (both raw/fresh and prepackaged), patties (all different types), desserts, and prepacked cookies that are to die for! Give them a try!
My family and I went there to eat today for the first time. We are visiting New York for a week. The food was excellent. Lots of flavors and delicious. We tried their 17 bean soup, the sampler, Ginger "chicken", an avocado salad with humus and my son had a vegan hamburger and everything was perfect. We wll be back tomorrow for more food!
Definitely a winner!
Also want to say thank you to the staff for being very friendly!
