This is by far my favorite place that Tony and I have been to on our road trip so far. I'm crazy for chocolate so this place was right up my alley. We tried most of the vegan options. We had the Theros Olive Oil Chocolate cake which came with a raspberry sauce. It was one of the best cakes I've had in a restaurant/bakery. Probably the best, actually. It was two layers with the most amazing frosting.

Along with the cake we tried two of the truffles, the Thai and the Strawberry Balsamic. They were both delicious but I could probably eat a dozen of the Strawberry Balsamic in one sitting. That. Good.

I ordered a VooDoo which is a hibiscus and rose soda with mango sorbet. Insane. How do they come up with these things?!

Everything was so good I insisted we go back the next morning before getting back on the road. We bought a dozen truffles as a gift for Tony's aunt and I got six more for myself. I haven't tried them yet but I got two more of the Strawberry Balsamic, two of the Buddha, and two of the... I don't remember the name but it started with a K and had crunchies on the outside. I also ordered a Xocolatl which is a drinking chocolate. Here's the explanation from their menu:

xocolatl $4.00
an Aztec term meaning ‘bitter water,’ our darkest chocolate drink looks back to chocolate’s early culinary origins in a drink fabled for its ability to sustain a man walking all day without other sustenance. house-ground bitter chocolate, local corn grits, organic chile & spices, blended frothy with fresh-pressed almond milk. may substitute agave for sugar.

That pretty much sums it up. It was rich, not very sweet, and amazing. Ah-may-zing.

The VooDoo was so good I ordered it again in the morning.

One of our favorite things about this place was the fact that the staff was so knowledgeable about what was and was not vegan. Everything is well-labeled but there was a truffle that wasn't by the rest of the vegan truffles that was vegan and the great guy working the counter suggested it to us. I really appreciated that!

The atmosphere is great for sitting and relaxing. They have wi-fi.

This place does a great job of marking all the vegan options. We had a bunch of truffles, the chocolate cake, and a coconut milk chocolate cake.

Everything was excellent, and the chocolate cake was a thing of beauty. It was incredibly rich and flavorful, and the icing was the best chocolate icing I've ever had.

If you like chocolate, you must visit this place.

Great ambiance, clearly marked vegan desserts. Sometimes it can get VERY crowded (uncomfortably so), but they recently opened an upstairs, too, so that might help the overcrowding. Nice spot to visit after dinner or a show.
