Vegan-friendly diner in SE

Mostly vegetarian greasy spoon diner with a 1950's style booth and stool setup. One of the staple vegetarian restaurants in town.

They are nearly all veg, but they do serve beef hamburgers. However, they will replace the meat with a Boca burger upon request.

this place wasn't bad, it just could have been better. the layout of the restaurant is super fun, but the food lacked a little pizzzaz. the biscuits and gravy were like buns that had been re-heated in the oven and then topped with a so-so almond gravy. the cranberry almond pancakes my boyfriend had were tasty, but had to slather them in syrup. they were also a bit on the grainy side. overall, it was ok but i don't think we'll be coming back.

I took my 3 little ones and my girl out to experiance PaRaDoX yesturday eve. I must admitt Im glad I was not in a bad mood or I probably would have threatened them with a lawsiut! This place isnt even really VEGAN!!!!! Thank God I knew to ask if there is HONEY used in their buns or their biskets, guess what? Well after the waiter was stumped (by the way he was the only employee around and the joint was packed) he told me he did not know and there is no ingrediants on the bun packages that they order in bulk so he went to ask the cook. After 5 miniutes he let me know that there is indeed HONEY IN THE BUNS!!!
What THe F**K, there is no indication on the menu that HONEY is in any prouduct that is labeled VEGAN, and they represent that their entrees are VEGAN.....
I could have eaten their VEGAN BURGER and never known that it had HONEY and WON A LAWSIUT against them for false advertisment and improperly labeling food content. If you work at a so called VEGAN resturant you had better know the DAMN ingrediants of the food your preparing!!!
The place was completely understaffed and slow and they over charged me! Dont think of going there with any groups either they have no accomidations for any group larger then 4, we got lucky and were able to put the only 2 tables there together and have some space to eat..
If your VEGAN get in the habit of ASKING EXACTLY WHAT IS IN YOUR FOOD, Dont fool yourself by trusting Dumbass idiots that dont understand what bieng VEGAN entails, ESPECIALLY if the resturant serves normal food as well.
I would not be suprised to learn that they cook their real meat and so called Veggie patties on the same grill surface. They need to be shut down or re name themselves FAKE VEGAN FOOD THAT WILL MAKE YOUR STOMACH HURT ALL NIGHT! I'm calling it SHINANIGANS!!!
my next endevor will be VOO-DOO doughnuts, we will just see how VEGAN their selection really is!

So far the only trustworthy place Ive found is BLOSSOMING LOTUS cafe in the downtown area by china town...
