My husband and I love this place and we would go and enjoy dinner there at least 2-4 times a month. Champ (owner) and his mom, Toom, who cooks there, always treated us very nice and friently. Whatever we wanted to try, they could always made for us. Reccomended items are Veggie Summer Rolls, Pad Thai which you have to ask for the vegan sauce, Ginger with tofu. My husband likes something really spicy so he always got something like basil fried rice with tofu or the green curry. The dining room is very beautiful, clean, and keeps me awake with the green and orange walls. If you have never been here, they also offer unlimited flat bread with the garlic-basil spread. It's all vegan too! Overall experience about Thai Zie, I'd give them 5 stars!
P.S. for the drinkers...They also have beers, wines, specialty cocktails and martinis. They let you B.Y.O.B. too

There's been a spate of Thai restaurants opening in the "Tri-Cities" of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles in the far western suburbs of Chicago. Thai Zie is one of the newest and while it does a good job with decor, I found the food and service lacking.

The restaurant was nearly empty when I came but it still took the waiter five minutes to give me water and another five minutes for him to take my order.

I had one of their stir-frys which are bland and watery and just flat somehow.

If you're all the way out here and are looking for good Thai, go one town over to Geneva and check out Bangkok Restaurant.
