Apparently after ordering mock duck and vegetarian rolls, it still wasn't clear that I was vegetarian, so I was unknowingly served fish sauce for the dip with my vegetarian rolls. The food was really delicious besides that obvious error.
This place is decent, but nothing spectacular. The mock duck spring rolls are very bland, and half the time, they don't seem to get the rice paper rolls softened all the way. You can get much better Vietnamese food at Jasmine Deli.
The Lotus really isn't that bad. They have delicious barbequed mock duck dishes and very tasty vegan hot and sour soup. The prices are decent, especially those at the UofM location.
As noted, simply ok vietnamese food. The service can be a bit wierd, it seems that I've only ever had good service when eating there with a cute boy...
If you're a veggie, you can eat here. It's not the best place in town, but some good menu items. I'd recommend Evergreen Chinese Restaurant, on Nicollet, instead.

Fried rice (without eggs) is the best thing on the menu!
