This is a tasty and extremely cheap restaurant. If I recall correctly, a dinner with rice is $4.50. Get it takeout and you'll have dinner and lunch the next day.
Minar Palace's style is to have more subtle flavoring. This is NOT the place to go to get ultra hot Channa Masala.
But, it's still tasty food.
It definitely is a great value. (You also get a side salad with each entree.) I personally think that the spices are better than most cheap Indian restaurants, even if they are not very hot.
