The Quiet Storm is a coffee house and vegetarian restaurant. They serve a lot of sandwiches and other vegetarian American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Every Sunday between 10AM and 2PM they have a brunch based around an ethnic cuisine, the food of an era, or other theme.
The menu marks with a V what is or can be made vegan, although some simply veganizable dishes (for example, taco salad with shredded cheese) are not marked as such.
The Quiet Storm is at the corner of Penn and S. Graham Street in Garfield.
The 86B, which runs from Downtown to Wilkinsburg, goes right by the Quiet Storm.

I love the Quiet Storm! This place is inviting from the moment you walk in. It's filled with colors from the walls to the floors. It's really eclectic and warm. They have various types of entertainment on the weekends, from music, to poetry, to art. Their food is prepared in a way that's both tasty and presentable. Try their tofu burrito w/ sesame sauce...it's the bomb! They sell the best cookies too =)
The Quiet Storm is a great local place to hangout and enjoy the wonderful food. They are very accomodating towards vegans and often have performances on the tiny stage they have set up. The Quiet Storm is also a great place to find out what is going on in the Pittsburgh area and to post your event.
Fantastic food and a friendly atmosphere. The Sunday Brunch is wonderful. Great coffees (very fair trade friendly), teas, and baked goods as well.
