A variety of Chinese and Southeast Asian dishes

Despite the fact that this place has two names, it is really one restaurant which offers a variety of Asian dishes, including such things as lo mein, pad thai, fried rice, and many others.

Great place to go in the winter for a mammoth bowl of soup. The Udon soup is fantastic.

good, quick, convenient. Despite the variety of the menu I repeatedly get the pad thai. It's good!

probably the best in town, with a huge variety. the prices have not changed much at all in 10 years. the portions are generous and the seating is comfortable. better than spice island in these two regards.

I haven't had any Chinese entrees there in 10 years or so (before they were Lu Lu's), but the noodle soups I've had there have been wonderful. IIRC (it's been a while) I always wind up getting the Ramen: the contrasts between the crunchy fresh veggies (pea pods, carrots and broccoli), the noodles and the juicy mushrooms is fantastic.

i like lulu's quite a bit -- it's one of my required stops anytime i'm back in town. of course, i found what i liked the first time i went and have stuck with it (B10 - ma po tofu). i also like S6 - the hot and sour soup. it isn't the *best* asian food in the world, but it's good, cheap and plentiful. the menu is pretty clearly marked as to what is (or can be made) vegetarian or vegan, but make sure to state that when you place your order.

Bleah, large portions of Americanized, way-too-sweet, bland food. The scallion pancakes are okay, but everything else I ever had here ranged from bad to tolerable. It's always packed, but I have no idea why.

There are certainly better places in Pittsburgh. Check out the Spice Island Tea House instead.
