A natural foods market
This is a great store. Though not completely vegetarian/vegan, it has a number of wonderful options, as well as several sections of vegan, cruelty-free personal products. Very, very convenient and the first place to go if you're looking for a variety of vegetarian/vegan options, anything organic. It is, however, a little pricey, particularly for some items. Well worth it, though, and one can definitely find good deals amongst the more expensive items.
There is a selection of foods for the allergy-sensitive. It isn't huge, but it's better than mainstream stores.
They also have a large deli, a salad bar, and a patio.

On the plus side, there's a decent amount of options for vegetarians to eat in the grocery. It's what you'd expect of a natural foods store.
However, they don't go out of their way to cater to vegetarians. Their deli has limited vegan options.
