Gopher Express features a wide arrange of vegan and vegetarian options, including Silk Soymilks, veg jerky, vegan wraps and sandwiches, Amy's Kitchen entrees, Clif and Luna bars, Tofutti Cuties, and Thai Kitchen meals!
Located inside Coffman Memorial Union in the Cube. Near Starbucks.

It's amazing how many vegan options they have! I was shocked.
It's a great place to stop in and grab a snack or quick meal during breaks! They also have a microwave to heat a burrito or frozen meal, adding to the convenience.
Before I ever came here, I heard people talking about it. I didn't really know what kind of place it was for quite a while until I was told it was a convenience store. I don't care much for convenience stores, but that's because most are not like the Gopher Express. They easily have the highest percentage of vegan items I've seen. It's especially impressive considering that they don't have a whole lot of anything.
As far as a little convienience store in the basement of a student union goes, these guys are doing pretty well by my vegan standards. They have more options than you'd expect.
Gopher Express is the biznomb: they have veggie gummie bears, alternative baking company cookies, soy milk, clif and luna bars, and a whole host of other vegan goodies. the thai tofu wraps are worth a try as are the hummus half-sandwiches. i patronize this establishment on a near daily basis during the school year. good for a bite when you're on the u of mn campus.
There are many vegan options available here and it is very convenient due to numerous inexpensive food on the go. The pita and hummus pack is great for a quick lunch but if you have time to microwave something, there are usually a variety of pre-packaged meals. They also always have Tofutti Cuties fully stocked!
It's really really great to be able to buy vegan jerky, vegan cookies, Cliff bars, soy milk, vegan bean burritos, soup, fresh wraps and sandwiches, vegan chocolate covered raisins, and Tofutti Cuties in Coffman!! Life in Coffman and on campus is a lot better since Gopher Express has decided to carry so many vegan options!
And the manager has been great at soliciting suggestions from vegans and vegetarians and following up on our suggestions right away. If there is a product that you'd like them to carry you should let her know; she is very nice.
I wish they carried even more vegan and vegetarian food but I am happy to see that they are constantly bringing in new products (the latest being the super yummy Alternative Bakery cookies)!
