Veg restaurant in an antique shop
The Zenith is a unique all-vegetarian cafe that doubles as an antique shop and vintage clothing shop.
Check the website to see this weeks menu. Tofishy, with it's vegan tartar sauce, is popular enough that they decided to have it all the time.
The menu is about 90% vegan, including the deserts.
Every Sunday there is a brunch, where you get one entree (one of the weeks dinner entrees, if there's some left, or your choice of a breakfast type food like vegan french toast), coffee or tea, and all the bread and deserts you can eat for $10. The brunch usually gets busy - if you go between 11AM and noon expect to wait half an hour for a table, and possibly share a table.
In South Side, east of the Birmingham Bridge (opposite the direction of most of the bars, but near South Side Works). Zenith is at the corner of Sarah and 26th Street, just a block (or two, if you count the alley) south of Carson Street.
The 54C can let you off at Carson and 22nd, 4 or 5 blocks away. The 51C will get you to Carson and 18th, a few blocks farther.
The 51A, E, D, and G all run right by it going one direction, or can drop you off a block away on Carson St heading the other way.

The Zenith is one of the most unique places I've ever eaten at. Being in an antique shop, you can buy almost anything you see. The tofishy is VERY good. I also had tortilla soup, which was also quite tasty.
The Zenith is a nice place to eat. It's eclectic feel is inviting, and it's filled with antiques to give it that vintage feel. Also, they play good background music. I also admire the way they accommodate both vegetarian and vegans alike. =)
The Zenith is absolutely one of the great vegan restaurants in Pittsburgh. I have sampled many of their awesome entrees, I recommend the tofishy with the vegan tarter sauce. The atmosphere of the Zenith is very unique and the people that run it are quite swell.
The food here is good, though I often found myself adding salt to it. It is extremely vegan-friendly, and they always have vegan desserts. They also have a great selection of teas, and the Sunday brunch is worth a trip.

Sunday morning brunch is fantastic. For only $10 you have an all you can eat vegan buffet.
