The Best of DFW out door dining
Rated as "The Best of DFW dining" by www.guidelive.com. This is at a Hare Krisna temple just off I-30 and East Grand Avenue. The prices are suggested donations. The staff are volunteers. The food is outstanding. It's definitely an experience. More information can be found at their website:

It was 10 years ago when I first visited Kalachandji's. They were good then and still is the Best Vegetarian Restaurant in DFW area. This restaurant seems doing better than ever - it's clean, food is well prepared and tasty said the least, staff are friendly and attentive, atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended!
Mmmm Kalachandji's - what a wonderful place! Not just for the awesome food they served, but every bit of the experience - the place, people, culture, singing, dancing and of course the yummy food are all intoxicated. Excellent food with varieties, freshly prepared everyday - their cinnamon bread is the best! The outdoor courtyard gives such a peaceful atmosphere that you don't feel like in Dallas at all. If you haven't been there yet, better hurry!
Kalachandji's - the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Dallas. Such an awesome place - excellent food, service and atmosphere. Indian buffet with international entrees. Food is perfectly spiced, menu change daily. Their tamarind tea and cinnamon bread are the best. They also have the best courtyard and patio - trees and plants every where, water fountains and perfect Indian classical music. If you are lucky - sometimes they have live music on Fri or Sat night. Me and my veggi friends go there at least 2-3 times a week. Sat & Sun nights are the best since they offer vegan desserts on top of their yummy rice pudding and halvah...

This place is awesome. I always like to visit Kalachandji's. My friends and their families always make a point to bring me there whenever I am in town. It's not just for the food but for the atmosphere and experience - there is an unusual peaceful atmosphere there - maybe because it's in a Hare Krishna Temple, or because whoever takes care of the place purposely create such a wonderful atmosphere for visitors. Well done.
