I was here a few months ago and was thoroughly impressed with the employee's knowledge of vegan ice creams and cones (most places have no idea if the cones or toppings are vegan). I tried a few flavors but was especially impressed with the blueberry ice cream, as it's an unsual land hard-to-find flavor.
More than anything, I just love the concept of the "izzy" (mini scoop on top). I'm from Wisconsin so I LOVE ice cream, and I'm also fairly greedy and indecisive, so getting a bonus mini scoop on top is just about as good as it gets for me.
I love Izzy's! When I went last night, they had four soy flavors: chocolate, chocolate almond, peanut butter, and blueberry! Blueberry is by the best; it's so delicious and creamy. The soy peanut butter isn't bad either.
I'd been meaning to try Izzy's for a long time and finally got around to doing it. The service was really friendly, but a bit slow, as there was only one person working the counter, and numerous customers.
She was well versed in the vegan selections available (4 sorbets and 1 soy ice cream), and even went to so far as to say, without me asking, that the cones were vegan, too (but the waffle cones are not vegan).
I had the blueberry soy ice cream, with "an Izzy" (their word for "topping") of mango sorbet. The blueberry ice cream was wonderful---subtly flavored, with a creamy and airy texture. I love most soy ice creams from the grocery store, but Izzy's definitely tasted special and different.
The mango sorbet was also solid, though perhaps not as exotic or as uncommon as the blueberry ice cream. They did have different sorbet flavors, such as pomegranate fizz, lemon, and rasberry, which might have been better choices.
If this place had one or two more flavors of soy ice cream (or even rice/coconut ice cream), it would rock the house. As it stands, it's awfully good. Even better, it runs on solar and wind power! What a cool place. Thank you, St. Paul.
These guys have awesome soy ice cream (they had blueberry and raspberry when I went), and excellent mango sorbet. The sorbets are incredibly smooth and have a very nice creamy mouth feel.
Soy triple berry, chocolate, and chocolate banana are DELICIOUS! Passion fruit sorbet is also really good.
It's a great hangout, and when I was in there last there were a total of five different soy ice creams or sorbet. I hadn't been there in a few years, and they used to not carry as many soy options.
Great homemade soy ice cream! They usually offer between 2-3 flavors of soy now each day, with varieties that change. I've had the chocolate, chocolate almond, strawberry, and blueberry and they're all good.
MMMM - vegan blueberry ice cream! TO DIE FOR!
I'm all about any place that makes their own vegan ice cream. The chocolate was great, and a lot of it even melted in the car on the way home, but I loved it anyway, good fresh, melted, and re-frozen! I was not impressed with the raspberry, though.
They only had soy peanut butter ice cream when I went but it was pretty good. No one knew what I was taking about when I asked about vegan ice cream. They only knew that the soy kind was dairy free.
Izzy's makes some good vegan ice cream. Selection is a bit limited, but who can beat a serving of fresh home-made vegan ice cream on a hot summer day?
While Izzy's does have nondairy icecream, the selection of such that is available on any particular day is quite sparse. What they do have generally has a good texture and flavor. Unfortunately their waffle cones are not vegan, so a vegan is restricted to having the ice cream in a dish or a sugar cone.
An ice cream shop that actually makes their own non-dairy ice cream is a cool thing. The flavors I've tried always have a great texture and richness, though sometimes the flavor itself could be a bit stronger. The blueberry and spiced apple were both really good though.

I can't believe I have only been to this place once! As many others have said, the selection in sparse for vegans, but they had both blueberry and peanut butter, so I was more than happy.
I had blueberry on a sugar cone with a peanut butter Izzy (baby scoop on top of the big one. It was wonderful on one of the first 80 degree afternoons of the spring. I highly recommend Izzy's. They just need to make some vegan waffle cones!
