Thai grocery store near Nieuwmarkt
Thai Shop is a Thai grocery store just off of Nieuwmarkt.
There you'll find coconut milk, asian vegetables, herbs, and spices, including homemade Thai curry pastes which are allegedly vegan.
Additionally, Thai Shop sells almost a dozen varieties of fake meat in their freezer, such as varieties of fake fish, pork, chicken nuggest, drumsticks, and breasts, sausages, and even vegetarian sardines. The fake meat ranges from €2-3 per package.
Just off of Nieuwmarkt, and almost right next to one of the exits from the Nieuwmarkt metro, where the 51, 53, and 54 trains stop.

On our most recent trip, a friend and I just kept finding more and more fake meat in the freezer - even more than Oriental Co. has, I believe.
Also, the coconut milk is the cheapest I've found, and the fresh curry pastes are to die for (they allegedly are vegan, no fish paste).
My only complaint is their fresh sweet basil leaves aren't very aromatic or flavorful.
Yummy curry pastes and a fantastic range of faux meat in the freezer. Have tried a handful of the different kinds of 'meats' and was not disappointed.
