Vegan, worker-owned cafe with salads, sandwiches, dragon noodles and more
Restaurant, Coffee/Tea/Juice, Bar
Portland's only 100% vegan, worker-owned and collectively managed restaurant and small venue. The colors 'Red & Black' signify that this is also an explicitly anarchist establishment.
The Red & Black's food menu includes sandwiches, salads, soup, chili, bagels and sweets. Most things are made from scratch with local and organic ingredients. The drink menu includes Equal Exchange espresso drinks, housemade chai, local beer (on tap and in bottles), juice and also kombucha on tap.
The Red & Black also has free wifi and 2 free internet terminals provided by Free Geek. Last but not least the R & B frequently hosts live music, radical films, book readings, craft nights etc.
The Red & Black is located on the other side of the block from the Vegan Mini-Mall.
Note: This cafe now accepts credit and debit cards. There is also an ATM.
