Fine Indian cuisine in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
Located across the street from the Foshay Tower, Bombay Bistro is a popular destination for lunching workers and dining out-n-abouts. There is a lunch buffet every day of the week, with a special "Food Fair" buffet on the weekends. A selection of vegetarian items can be found on the menu, but it is mostly non-vegetarian. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so there may be lines during the busy parts of the day.

I've been to Bombay Bistro several times, and as a vegetarian it's not great. The buffet typically does not have a lot of veggie options. In addition, the last time I went there for the buffet, they were out of almost everything for about 15 minutes. When you are on a weekday lunch break, that is totally unacceptable. If you love Indian food you can find superior options elsewhere.
This place has fantastic samosas, and our server was really great, too. However, they don't have a large selection of vegan entrees and the ones we ordered were nothing to shout about.
Absolutely terrible service! Take ages to take your order and bring your food and the food is in small portions as well. Also, the Owners/managers can be rude and I've twice seen them squabble with customers over petty things. Avoid this place if possible!

Its another one of those Indian places which are over hyped and are really very very bad. The service is extremely poor. Food isn't all the great either. I remember throwing a party there and we trashed the manager (or whoever he was) so badly that he finally gave us complimentary dessert. And guess what? The kulfi he gave us was rock hard. Also overly expensive for no reason. A big No No.
