I love the vibe at The Bad Waitress. It has a funk factor rarely found elsewhere in the Twin Cities. It's especially fun on a warm summer evening when they open up all the garage-style windows that line one whole side of the joint. And their vegan shakes? One word... WOWIE. Those are worth the trip alone. They also have an amazing vegan chocolate cake as well as a yummy slice of vegan banana bread that I usually get to-go while I'm chowing down my shake. I go there all the time for the dessert. I've only eaten a meal there once, for breakfast. I was really looking forward to it and wanted to love it as much as their desserts, but alas... it was just okay. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they made an effort to at least offer it, but, well, the effort was rather minimal. I'll have to go back and try some of their dinner time vegan offerings. For now, I'll just stick with the vegan shakes, chocolate please.
This place ain't bad, not amazing, but none too shabby... I like the veggie burger and the burrito is also tasty.
And I like the atmosphere...they have a good juke box that's worth checking out. They have a nice tea selection too. So, if you want atmosphere, and at least some good food options, give it a try....
