This cafe first opened in 1949 and still offers Tex-Mex food and live music every night (including funk, bluegrass, rock, blues, world beat, rockabilly and more). They have vegetarian and some vegan choices in both their lunch and dinner menus, for example vegetarian burgers, vegetarian-version fajitas, a veggie platter, and more. Drinks include wines, cocktails, liqours, and beers.
Also, according to their website, everything is made everything from scratch. And the pintos are refried in olive oil and not lard; however, their black beans are seasoned with bacon.
