The only complaint I have about Sage's is that the prices seem to be about 15% too high. Otherwise I've found this to be a terrific restaurant in which I will dine every time I find myself in Salt Lake City.
Service and atmosphere are great. Too bad I can't say the same for the food. It's over priced and bland.
i've only been there for breakfast/brunch on the weekends (the only time i'm in slc...) but to that end, Sage's is absolutely incredible. everything is great. i highly recommend the crepes! and everything else, for that matter. great, friendly staff, good music, great atmosphere. a+
UPDATE: went for lunch last time i was in town, got the philly, with huge chunks of homemade seitan, on amazing bread. even better than brunch!!!
Mediocre food. Also terribly inconsistent -- both in
quality and in service time, regardless of how busy the
restaurant is. Cannot compare to the average vegan restaurant
in other cities, let alone the high end restaurants that
Sage's aspires to emulate. Poorly designed menu, save your
bucks and stay at home -- any of the menu items can easily
be prepared in a far superior fashion with little effort.
