Organic open air market every Saturday
"Boerenmarkt op de Noordermarkt" is an open air organic (biologische) farmers market open 9AM-4PM every Saturday in the Jordaan.
It is Amsterdam's only all organic farmers market and - being open only one day a week - is also the most crowded.
In addition to the expected selection of fruit, veggies, and bread there are a few specialty vendors selling soy milk, soy yogurt, vegetarian/vegan paté, hot soup by the cup, and more.
Not every vendor shows up every week, and some vendors will start leaving around 2PM, as well.
Just past the Noordermarkt there is another market which is not organic but sometimes has things not available at the organic market.
In front of Noorderkerk, just outside the Prinsengracht on the border of the Jordaan and the Western Canal Ring.
