Healthy food for hungry bellies
I'm not from Memphis and I'm vegan, so when I visited for the third time, I did some real food research (instead of packing sandwiches) and came across Square Foods. I was one happy camper.
They have a market area, juice bar, prepackaged deli food, snacks, desserts, different types of stir fry and wonderful sandwiches. I've never had smoked tofu before, and their House-Smoked Tofu sandwich was to die for! I had it three times in a weekend. It's a bit small with only a few tables by the windows or seating at the deli counter, but a great place to stop for a quick meal on the go, or to have a nice lunch and people-watch. Follow it up with a beer and game of pool around the corner at the Young Avenue Deli!
Just north of Cooper and Young.
