Vegetarian Organization
The National Capital Vegetarian Association is located in Ottawa, Canada, and serves the National Capital Region including Gatineau/Hull and the surrounding areas in Ontario and Quebec.
The NCVA is a not-for-profit membership-based organization created to educate the public about the health benefits of a plant-based diet for the improvement of public health. They are working to establish a community resource centre, and will be conducting public seminars and conferences & meetings, and collecting & disseminating information about plant-based diets.
The NCVA organizes potlucks, publishes a newsletter and various fact sheets, sells books and DVDs, and puts together a colored printed guide to vegetarian-friendly places in Ottawa.
