Vegan-friendly, and the staff knows what you mean when you ask about vegan preparation. The soya verde burrito was fantastic. The vegan chorizo was OK, but it would have been improved with the addition of beans and tofu or beans and potatoes.

The menu was very confusing! I hope in the future they will rewrite it so that it is consistent and organized by food type, with veg*n options clearly marked.

I really like this place! I agree the menu can be confusing but the staff is very helpful in answering questions and can reccomend things to you. There is a paper menu near the cash register that puts everything in simpler terms too. Basically you can pick any filling, TONS of vegetarian and many vegan choices, then decide the style you want (enchilada, burrito, chimi, plate, etc.) You can choose one of their combos as well or just add side items a la carte. I've had the soya verde burrito and calabacitas (without cheese). Both were yummy and the salsa was the best! Very casual, well priced, friendly staff.

Clearly the best option for vegan or vegetarian Mexican food in Tucson. Endless options labeled vegan and vegetarian. You must go here, don't miss out.

Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Vegan options include soy chorizo, soya verde, ground soy, calabacitas, beans, rice and guac, available for tostadas, tacos, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and more!! We asked about the caldo sin queso, and it's not vegan due to milk in the broth. My boyfriend and I went for lunch, and had a great experience. The owner was really helpful and informative about vegan options. I got the soya verde burrito with enchilada sauce which was really spicy and delicious. My boyfriend got a trio of tacos; one with soy chorizo, one with soya verde, and one with calabacitas, all of which were amazing. One more cool thing about Tania's is their "Green Card" which offers discounts for carpooling, bringing in plastic bags, sheets of paper, and other earth friendly activities. Yay for Tania's!
