Broadway Center, 2F
Vegetarian Taiwan Buddist Restaurant
Kohrinbo is a small lunchroom (about 6 or 7 counter seats) serving shojin ryori, Taiwan style vegetarian meals since 1986. As is the case with other Taiwanese and Chinese restaurants, there are many mock meats to chose from, in addition to vegetable, rice, noodle, and soup dishes.
The daily special comes with a small entree, a side, soup, vegetable, rice, and tea, and only costs 940 yen. You can also get a la carte items.
Nearly all the items are vegan, aside from te Mushroom & Soycutlet & egg set. They sometimes include half a boiled egg with the side dish, but you can omit that. If you don't speak Chinese or Japanese, say "bu yao dan", which means no egg.
The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the Broadway Center but the escalator goes directly to the 3rd floor so take the stairs.
The menu is in both English and Japanese and items containing egg are denoted on the menu.
Note, they take only cash.

Take the JR Chuo line or Tozai line and get off at Nakano station. Take the north exit. When you leave the exit, you will see a big shopping area with a brightly lit walkway (there are no doors, you just walk in). Walk all the way down the walkway and you end up in the Broadway Center.
If you walk up the street on the left of the shopping area, you will walk about 5 minutes and turn right when you get to the Citizen Watch company and The Aoyama Suit store. Broadway Center will be on your right, half a block down.
