Classic American Veg-friendly Food in P-Town
The Central House at the Crown & Anchor Inn offers a changing menu of what they label classic seasonal rustic American cuisine.
The chef always has at least one vegan entree with several veg-friendly appetizers on the menu. They feature an outdoor patio for relaxed dining during warmer weather.

The Crown and Anchor is an excellent place to get a nice upscale meal if you're in P-town. The server was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and precisely what was vegan and vegetarian. She mentioned that the chef is very sensitive to vegan and vegetarian needs and always try to include a couple of options on the menu.
When I was there, I had a very tasty "Caesar" salad with focaccia croutons, artichokes, and a tofu dressing. The main course was a squash dish served with cranberries, some sort of green, and a quinoa pilaf. Everything was very well-seasoned, beautifully presented, and the service was excellent.
The only down-side is that they didn't have any vegan desserts on the menu, but perhaps if they get more demand, it might be something they will add.
