Vegan-friendly pizzeria

Classic Slice is a pizzeria in Bay View that stays open late (noon-midnight!), has weekly slice specials and features "monster sized slices".

Employees hand toss the dough in the air high enough to make you wonder if they'll catch it on the way down, the space and the music are high-energy, and toppings run the gamut from pesto and broccoli to vegan sausage.

Classic Slice features three vegan pizzas: Mediterranean (olive tapinade, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, mushroom, & vegan sausage), The Anne Curry (curry sauce, broccoli, spinach, mushroom, tofu, and tomatoes), and the Super Veggie (red sauce, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, fresh basil, and tofu OR vegan sausage). You can also get a "Vegan Victory Mini Pie" which is a mini version of any of the above pizzas.

16" pizzas are $16 and 20" pizzas are $20. The mini pies are $8.

NOTE: This place is sort of hidden behind a gym. If you don't see it right on Kinnickinnic, go right around the gym on the corner.

I love that they deliver on bikes. I love that they have 3 vegan pizzas. I love that they have mini pizzas. I love that they have awesome bread sticks. And I love that they now have soy cheese (even if it's just sprinkled on top of toppings.

Good times. I love the high ceilings here, plus the fact that you can see back into the kitchen and watch them cook (and toss pizza dough in the air!)

I had the Anne Curry and the Mediterranean. Both were good, but I preferred the Mediterranean, although it was weird having basil and sun-dried tomatoes paired with Tofurkey sausage. Go figure. The Anne Curry was good, but a bit mild. We even got extra curry sauce on it but I feel it could have used more flavor.

Their bread sticks are also vegan and quite yummy. You also get a huge order for $4.50, so it's a good way to fill in the meal.
