From AOL's cityguide:
"Located in a St. Louis landmark with a signature grand staircase, Govinda's is a sacred place for food and worship. Not only is it an all-you-can-eat buffet, but it's also the principle place of worship for Krishna religious activities in the city. The room for worship is just to the right of the main dining hall. The decor is mostly functional, since the main dining hall also serves as a souvenir shop that offers books and T-shirts for purchase. Most would agree: The food is simply heavenly. While there is never a set menu, everything available is 100 percent vegetarian. Just pay the plate fee, grab a paper plate and fill up on rice and the assortment of dishes available for the day. There's usually a faux-meat style curry dish and some vegetarian fritters. You can add a small green salad, bread, soup and dessert to your meal, but whatever you order, the tastes are simple, clean and very distinct. Not bad for a dinner less than $10. The food quality definitely varies, but Sundays tend to be the time for the best brunch since it's the day of worship for many St. Louis Krishna followers. However, the tea is always a sure hit here. It's perfectly brewed, and the harmony of sweet and bitter is something you must try."
