Vegan-friendly American cuisine
Junior's is a popular hang out in Portland that is definitely worth stopping through. They only offer a few vegan options, but those they do offer are really well-prepared.
The restaurant is cozy and is decorated by Victorian wallpaper and gilt-edged mirrors. Junior's semi-retro atmosphere attracts everyone from young parents and Eastsiders to hipsters and and activists. There are huge, gold vinyl booths inside and a few small tables outside for when the weather is nice.
They offer traditional American fare including sandwiches, soups, and salads, but have great brunch options on Saturdays and Sundays, including: tofu scramble, vegan french toast, sausage, and potatoes. The food is good, but the wait can be upwards of an hour when they get busy.
Juniors also has a children's menu, which makes this a great place to bring the family.

A friend and I had brunch here today and although the food was pretty good, it took nearly an hour for us to get it, which is way too long to wait for food, regardless of how busy the restaurant is. This is on top of the 20 minutes we spent waiting for the table.
We both had the vegan French toast, garden sausage, and tofu scramble and we shared the vegan potatoes, which came with various veggies and a wonderful tofu cream sauce. The prices were reasonable and the food was surprisingly good, considering they don't offer that many items.
The servers were really nice and our waitress even brought us a bag of ice for me to put on my swollen ankle (I was on crutches.)

Best vegan breakfast in Portland. The vegan potatoes are a meal of their own and will blow anyone's mind. French toast with fruit, scrambles, etc, it's all wonderful. In a great spot, vintage diner in great condition. Get there early because it fills fast.
