Vegan-friendly Pizzaria
This is a long-time pizza hangout in the East Side/UWM community that offers a number of vegetarian and vegan options. Of course, they have cheese & veggie pizzas, mozz sticks, and custard for vegetarians, but their sauce and crust is vegan so vegans can order pizzas sans cheese and be quite happy. You can also bring your own vegan cheese and ask them to melt it on your pizza. The only thing is that they don't make cheeseless pizzas by the slice so you'll have to order an entire pizza, but the small ones aren't too expensive.
Pizza Shuttle remodeled a few years ago so they have a modern look with plenty of seating area--some tables and some stools. It's on the 2nd floor and isn't wheelchair accessible, so keep that in mind. In addition to on-street parking, they have a parking lot below the restaurant.
The restaurant is one of the only places around that's open until 3 or 4am so it's perfect for late night eating. Smoking is allowed and the place tends to get smoky on the weekends when it gets busy).

My friends and I have boycotted this place. True, it's great if you want a sobering 2AM order of breadsticks or soggy pizza (once it came with bacon), but the food is really not that great. It also doesn't help that the staff are always stoned and don't know how to keep Parmesan cheese off of your food. I had countless problems with Pizza Shuttle and refuse to ever give them another dollar of my money.
While Pizza Shuttle has good pizza if have been out drinking all night and are in need of late night greasy pizza, it isn't the best if you would like delicious and not-so-greasy pizza. The atmosphere is more like a cafeteria than a restaurant and every time I have been there, it has been filled with extremely loud drunk people shouting across the room about bread sticks, among other things. There are definitely better pizza places in Milwaukee in my opinion, but most aren't open as late as the Pizza Shuttle.
I really like Pizza Shuttle's atmosphere-fun and friendly-but the smoke really annoys me. The staff is really friendly-most actually know what veganism is and won't try to bullshit you. If you order a cheese pizza without the cheese, they'll even let you replace the cheese with a different topping for no charge.

Last two orders, where I specified that I was vegan....
