Argo Tea is a fierce competitor to the larger coffee chains. Many of the drinks are either dairy-free or can be made with soy. They also sell vegan muffins from the Chicago Diner. Be sure to ask for a code for 2 hours of free wireless.

I'm at this Argo a lot lately getting work done, grading papers, etc. Many of the drinks can be done with soy, and I think I even saw someone order something with almond milk. Their chai definitely tastes different than the run of the mill chai. You also can't beat 2 hours of free wireless (which they'll keep feeding you more wireless cards if you ask nicely and buy another drink). I wish they would import more vegan pastries because the Chicago diner muffins, though generally fine, can be really tough and chewy on some days.
