Juice Bar and Cafe
All vegetarian cafe, that specializes in homemade vegan salad dressings, smoothies, salads, wraps/sandwiches, and best of all, lots of vegan baked goods. (Try the peanut butter cookies and tofu blondies!) They buy local and organic whenever possible, and all their carryout containers are made of a biodegradable corn product. Most of their breads and baked goods are whole-grain, and brown rice is served with almost every entree. Did I mention it's all amazing?
Parking around The District is limited, so if you're coming when people are out and about, you're better off parking and walking. The cafe is right off the corner of Ninth and Cherry, between Subway (which is actually ON the corner), and Lakota Coffee.

This place is amazing! Their hummus is great, as are all of their homemade dressings (my fav is the tofu-based Sesame-Ginger), I really can't complain about anything I've had so far. (Ok, actually, I wasn't impressed with the 7-Layer salad, but that's because I have a huge stomach, and I was hoping for a little more food for 6 bucks. :P Everything else is served in very generous portions.) Try every single one of the desserts. :D

I found this place by accident, but now I make a point to stop by every time I make a trip out here. I've never had an entree that I didn't like, and the cookies are oh-so-delicious! I highly recommend it.
