The menu definitely states they have the tofu scramble and since they were "out" then there is nothing else to order that is vegan. So I sit alone with y non-vegan friends sipping tea. "Tofu Scramble" shouldn't even be on the menu! The aura is nice and the place looks inviting. Vegetarians can do fine here but vegan-friendly is not accurate at all.

The food i had, hashbrowns with veggies and tofu, was excellent! Also, the atmosphere is great and the staff, the couple of times that I've been there, have been really helpful and friendly. Next time I'm in Duluth again, I'll definitely stop in and grab a bite to eat.

While this place has some vegan options on the menu, twice when I tried to order the tofu scramble it was not available. Another time it was available but it took over an hour to get it. And then it was not very good. I want to like this place, but I keep getting disappointed. I will not try eating breakfast there again.

This quaint cafe is located in the basement of an old building in the Canal Park/Lakewalk area, which means you'll probably stumble upon it while roaming the lakefront of Duluth. It's a good place to get a cup of coffee or a hummus-sandwich type of thing, though the vegan options are extremely basic.

However, they do offer a vegan rice crispie bar ($3) which was excellent. It was covered in a thick layer of chocolate and, unlike other choco-rice bars I've had, this one also contained berries, which put it way above the rest and gave it a fresh flavor. Come here for this rice crispie bar if nothing else.

good for a cup of coffee, but relatively few options (or any other options some days)for vegans, more options for vegetarians.

I really enjoy the scones they have here. I suggest one for breakfast or a quick afternoon snack. The place can be a bit busy on weekend mornings so if you're in a rush it's not the best place to go. It has live music some nights and the feeling of the cafe is really cool. It's kind of a cramped area in the inside but in the summer it's nice to eat outside.

Inattentive server, joke of a manager, & cold food. If you have two hours to kill for a simple breakfast, go for it! The hippie-lifestyle does not lend itself well into the service industry...

Even though this place is part of Green Routes (GreenRoutes.org), they had surprisingly very little vegan friendly food. I had the tofu scramble, which was good (but I've had better). On my next visit, I'll try their homemade hummus. I've heard great things about it.
Our server was very forgetful and inattentive, but she was helpful when it came to knowing what was vegan or not.
I rated it an 8 though, because I loved the secondhand plates and silverware, the coffee, and the overall atmosphere of this place. Playing Scrabble here over coffee and breakfast was one of the highlights of my trip to Duluth.
