Japanese Cuisine and Sushi

This up-scale sushi restaurant located in downtown St. Paul has a wide range of Japanese cuisine, some of which is vegetarian. Unfortunately many of the items on the menu have fish sauce/oil which cannot be substituted, and there are very few vegan options.

I would only go here for happy hour, but I really enjoy their happy hour! The regular menu just doesn't appeal to me, it's expensive and has only a small selection for vegetarians.

I really had a wonderful time. It is such a lovely restaurant.

Not a ton of options for vegans, but enough to keep me happy. Words to know: bonito and dashi = fish.

I like to go here for a quick and (usually) quiet sampling of appetizers like edamame and some sushi. Agedashi tofu minus the dashi is pretty tasty, as are the handful of veggie rolls. The employees have always been friendly and knowledgeable about what can be vegan.
