original TwoBoots going vegan

This foundation of the east village pizza scene is going vegan (only the original restaurant on A and 3rd, not the TwoBoots "complex" across the street). Currently, they're still offering the non-vegan pizzas that put the place on the map, but have added about 20 new items that are all vegan. The pizzas are going to be phased out as their customers get used to the "rebooted" menu, which includes about 1/2 raw foods.

Definitely worth checking out for some pretty amazing homespun recipes of the uber-healthy, raw, balanced variety, for amazingly good prices for the area. They're working more and more with local producers and growers to keep the food organic and healthy-clean. Very commendable. They are also hosting more and more nighttime events, including SHARE on Sundays, as well as different music and video events. Good scene, worth checking out. Its still got some kinks to work out with the new menu though.. I found the stir fry to be way too salty.
