Bar and grill with vegan fake meat options
The Double Wide Grill is a bar and grill, open until 1AM every night, that serves a few clearly marked vegan and vegetarian options.
They have a BBQ pulled seitan sandwich, seitan wings, and grilled vegetable chili - all vegan. They also have a number of vegetarian options, and a Lentil burger which is not marked - everything else on the menu is marked Vegan or Vegetarian.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Double Wide Grill has a brunch with vegan Oat & Walnut pancakes and South of the Border Tofu Scrambler, plus a bunch of side dishes all marked whether they're vegan, including seitan sausage.
Double Wide Grill is 2 blocks east of the Birmingham Bridge, on Carson Street, on a corner lot facing a Cogo's.
The 51A,B,D,E, and G busses through Southside will either go right by it on Carson, or a few blocks away on Sarah Street (depending on which direction their heading). The 54C and 84 busses can drop you off at the corner of Carson and the bridge, less than 3 blocks away.

In the vegan culinary wasteland that is late-night Pittsburgh, the new Double Wide Grill is a sight for sore eyes.
I tried the BBQ pulled seitan sandwich, and the hot seitan wings, and both were wonderful. We got there at 12:45 and they had no problem seating us and were still serving food, unlike Mad Mex (basically your only other choice for late-night vegan eats besides fries).
It was a little expensive - $8 isn't bad for the sandwich and fries, but $8 for the seitan wings - an appetizer - was a bit much - I think we got 8 wings for that price.

The first time I went into this place, I was quite pleasantly surprised to see so many vegetarian/vegan options in a bar! I've had the BBQ pulled seitan and the portabello burger, both were very good. Their nachos are also delicious! It's also nice to see some thought put into veg food (not just another veggie hoagie). My only complaint is, the last time I went there for lunch, our food took about 45 minutes to arrive. BUT the whole meal, (including drinks) for 4 of us, was then free.
