This last thursday I had na horrible experience in this restaurante and outsider: having done correctly a reservation, once arrive the responsible, Antoine, said that I had booked for a wrong hour, which was clearly their error because I have all emails prooving the contrary. His attitude was careless and provocative, and outside he came after us in the streed, as I had show my anger, called me names and threatened me. We I worte a claim (actually today) to the person whose name appeared in the reservation messages, I received surprisingly his short message, keeping the injuries from the oficial mail of the restaurant.
I was there before and the food is very uninteresting, beside the worse: the manager. Completely not ethic!

We were super happy with our meals here. The waitress really didn't know the food at all and that was a bit disappointing. But no complaints at all about the wonderful flavors. It's a cute little place. Nothing fancy, but lots of good choices.

I'd highly recommend this restaurant, the food was excellent, the staff is kind, and the atmosphere is pretty cosy. Also the prices are not too bad for Paris.

Le grenier de Notre-Dame is conveniently located less than two blocks away from the Cathedral of Notre Dame on the left bank. I ate here twice during my recent stay in Paris and was incredibly pleased both times. In fact, my meal was so wonderful the first time that I ordered the same thing upon my return visit.

As a drink I ordered the currant flavored cider and as an appetizer the avocado and mango tartare topped with sesame seeds. My main dish was called 'L'escalope de seitan' and consisted of a grilled seitan cutlet along with a side salad and roasted potatoes. I finished with a cup of coffee. The total came to 28 euros, which is on par with other restaurants in the area.

The restaurant clearly labels which of its dishes are vegan and serves vegan appetizers, entrees and desserts.

I expected the food to be really good since the prices are a bit higher than I'm used to, (but it's paris and it's quite a nice restaurant so maybe that's the prices you have to expect), you won't get a dish under 12 euros and most of them will cost you 15, but it was a bit of a disappointment. The food was really nice presented but not very special. I could have done the most of it at home in my kitchen, without any effort! Good policy though and a good location, very close to notre dame.

Le Grenier is by far my favorite restaurant in Paris. I was in Paris last week and wound up having dinner there three nights. The food, staff and atmosphere are wonderful. My visits in 1999 and 2003 were a similar experience.
