One of the few Ethiopian restaurants north of Chicago, Addis-Abeba is a new and unique addition to Evanston's dining options. The theme of the restaurant is utensiless eating, encouraging patrons to eat what is served in the traditional way by pinching it between injera (a pancake-like bread).
There are twelve vegetarian entrees and four appetizers. Ten of the options are vegan and a combination of four different entrees can be ordered. Food is served on a giant circular injera to be shared by all.
