Late night hot dog shop with vegan options
Dogtown is a hog dog and burger joint, but has veggie dogs, veggie burgers, and veggie chili.
You can order a la carte, or get a Junkyard Dog plate including your choice of 2 veggie dogs or burgers, and 2 sides (french fries, sweet potato fries, baked beans, etc.). You can also get chili on top of the plate for a little extra.
They are open Monday-Thursday until 11PM, and on Friday and Saturday they usually stay open as long as people are still there, at least until 2AM.
Dogtown is on Monroe Ave, 3 block southeast of the intersection with Goodman. It is right across from Oxford Street.
The Monroe Ave exit from 490 lets you off 3 blocks east.
Dogtown has a small off-street parking lot.

Hot dog shops aren't the first place a vegan would think to go, but if you're hungry late at night, Dogtown is nice. The burgers are pretty grainy, the veggie dogs are decent, and the chili is okay but you'll definitely want to add hot sauce. Also, getting veggie chili on the plate instead of regular costs a few bucks extra, which is silly I think.
