Good food, BUT everything is served on styrofoam, plastic and tin foil, even when you are eating in the restaurant. I feel that they should at least use biodegradable dishes if not washable, permanent plates. If you agree, consider letting them know in person or by phone: 612-788-4571

Not a a lot of seating so don't go there with a big group. Nice sized portions, friendly service and fair prices for delicious food!

This is the place you should try if you want to eat "MUMBAI" food.
All the other Indian places in town only serve either North or South Indian food.
Bombay Deli is a family owned deli. They serve very nice Mumbai Gujurati food. The samosa's are something I could kill for. Very authentic. The vadapav is good. Close to the original Mumbai version.
You have to try the "lilwa kachori". It fabulous.
The owners are very customer-friendly. They told me that I could just call and check on a day when I am passing by that vicinity. They said they could make something which is not on the menu too :)
I completely recommend it.

This is a great little joint with simple, honest Indian snacks (samosas, vada pav, masala tea, chaat) and comfort food dishes like lentil curry, chickpea curry and Indian breads. The tastes are good and the prices are extremely low (mostly under $5) and the service is friendly and fast. Seating is limited and it can get crowded easily.

Best food I have had in years!!! SAMOSA CHAAT AND VEG PAKORAS IS A MUST on weekends! Customer service is a plus:) Also great combo meal for under $6.00! Check this place out it will be worth the trip!

I am very picky about Indian food and consider the best homemade Indian food and great vegetarian restaurants like Vatan in New York to be the standards for what Indian food should taste like. With that in mind, this is hands-down the best, most authentic Indian restaurant in town (the only place comparable in quality is South Asian Foods, which is even less a traditional restaurant).

Their "wet" and "dry" curries are equally great, and as far as possible from the greasy, Americanized Indian so common in MSP. The palak paneer, chole, brinjal . . . really everything is worth recommending. The bonda and samosa are delicious and not greasy, and the hot sauce is both actually hot and flavorful. It's also a great place for chaat and other snacks. The prices are ludicrously low for the quality.

If you don't live in a household where someone can cook great and authentic Indian food, or if you are a vegetarian and/or Indian food fan, this should be your go-to default restaurant.
