Comfortable, informal dining, and gracious and caring service are the extras that go along with an exceptional menu that features mostly Chinese style dishes with a Vietnamese touch. Most of the well-seasoned dishes are vegan. Some Western entrees like pastas and lasagne. The Salmon with Mushroom, Kung Pau Chicken, and Eggplant Curry Soup are outstanding selections.

The other reviews are straight on, this place is great. Unfortunately, at the end of 2007 this place had to be closed down due to construction for a new parking structure, at least thats what i've been told.
big quantities of food, rare for a vegan restaurant. the food is good. i always bring it back to work for my meat eating buddies and they love it, it fills them up and they feel good after eating it, unlike after a huge plate of meat. good, friendly service, i go there all the time 'cause i work down the street.
Veggie Bistro is located in the heart of Uptown Whittier, and quaint old quaker town just a little south of LA. The food is amazing, I take friends out to lunch there who are not vegans or vegetarians all the time, and they love it. They are always amazed at how good the food is. The menu is really extensive and cheap. Nothing is over $7.25. You can get my fav...a big bowl of curry soup for 3 dollars. The staff is friendly and quiet and the atmosphere is great. Its defeinetley worth the visit. I would recomend anything with thier veggie chicken in it...its a favorite among everyone i know, and try something with thier veggie beef too, you'll pleasantly surprised.

Awe, I am sad to read that Veggie Bistro may have closed. I loved this place. It's a place I miss now that I live in Minneapolis. Excellent food and it was a friendly place to meet up with friends and have dinner!
