Japanese
Japanese and sushi join in South Minneapolis is a welcome neighborhood addition.
This small but stylish sushi restaurant has two pages worth of sushi rolls--with about a handful of veggie roll options. The presentation is immaculate. They also have a vegan tofu appetizer.

Why this restaurant would be given a thumbs up by any vegetarian is beyond me. My wife (the vegetarian)was stuck with one entree to choose from. The sushi is sub-par Midwestern sushi with no frills, and though the presentation is very nice and the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing the only ones getting the thumbs up are the interior designers. If you're a pescetarian you have ample amount of options, if you are a vegetarian go elsewhere.

The sushi here is just ok. Any other place in the Twin Cities would be a better bet. We live in the neighborhood and wish it was better, have tried it many times, but it just is bad. Most of our neighbors feel the same way.
