Organic Cafe offering a variety of vegan options
Located behind Evie's Natural Foods store, this organic cafe offers a variety of vegan options including soups, sandwiches, smoothies, salad bar and the "Veggie Extravaganza". The store offers vegan baked goods, mostly wheat free, including pastries, cookies, and banana bread. All seating is on the outdoor veranda, with fresh air and a nice view. The staff is knowledgeable about the food and very friendly.
From Palani in Kona, take 11 south about 10 miles. The store and cafe are located in a small center called Mango Court on the right. It's a blue building, easy to miss. (It is not far after you pass the Aloha Theater.)

This is THE FIND for a vegan visiting Kona. We were there 5 days and ate at Evie's 3 times. Everything we tried was great - the veggie extravaganza with lemon tahini sauce, and the sandwiches we had time to try. The salad bar looked good, but we didn't have time to try it. They also have vegan soups, smoothies and chili that we didn't get to sample. Guess we'll have to return to Kona soon. Don't forget to pick up some baked goods on the way out - they are awesome.
The staff is very friendly, and they really know which items are vegan.
