Lotus foods is a large Chinese-run grocery store in the Strip with a wide selection of packaged foods and ingredients from all over east Asia.
Every Saturday, and most Sundays, fresh, homemade tofu can be bought in the back of the store for just $0.28 per half-pound block.
They also carry some wheat gluten and soy foods in cans and in the freezers, but some can be hard to identify if you can't read Chinese, so bring a Chinese friend.
On the corner of Penn and 17th, right in the heart of the Strip.
The 86 busses and 91A go right by, coming from the east, or drop you off one block away on Liberty AVe coming from Downtown.
The Strip is all abuzz Saturday mornings, so don't plan on finding a parking spot easily if you're driving.
