Sree's is an informal restaurant with 3 different locations (Squirrel Hill, Carnegie Mellon University, and downtown Pittsburgh) serving unique Hyderabadi cuisine. Sree's Downtown location is open for lunch from 11AM until 3PM, or whenever he runs out of food for the day, which does happen.
For $4 you get your choice of 3 of his 4 daily curries, plus rice and bread. Every day Sree serves Aloo Chole (Chickpea Potato) and some variety of Tofu Curry. The other 2 dishes rotate daily, and include Tomato Dal (Tomato curry with Lentils) Eggplants, and Grape Leaves. Some days Sree's has samosas for $1, but the availability does not follow any schedule. Sree's used to be completely vegan, but most of their locations now serve chicken.
Sree's has offered completely vegan meals at many AR events. They are very knowledgeable about veg/vegan cuisine.
Meals are served in Styrofoam take-out containers, although there are tables to eat at in the restaurant. Customers are welcome to bring their own reusable plastic containers if they like.
Sree's Downtown location is in the Triangle building, at the corner of Smithfield Street and Liberty Ave - a few blocks north of the downtown library.
All busses that go Downtown (all the 51s, 61s, 71s, 500s, and many more) will get you within 3 blocks of Sree's. Any bus that runs along Liberty Ave downtown (the 86s, 91s, and more) will drop you off right in front of the restaurant.

I don't live in Pittsburgh but I've visited, and going to Sree's always stuck out in my mind. The tomato dal I had there was top-notch and I was impressed that I could get an awesome vegan meal very inexpensively in the heart of downtown. I'm visiting Pittsburgh again soon and I look very forward to eating there when I go.
