"Cafe Roka serves modern American food. It is a very personal style of cooking that the chef, Rod Kass, has evolved over several years in different venues. The dishes on our menu are inspired primarily by Italian, California, and new vegetarian cuisines.
"Soups, which vary nightly, are vegetarian based and might be, for example, black bean/smoked white corn, mushroom/potato, or tomato/green chile/cilantro.
"We offer innovative and tasty vegetarian food with two or three vegetarian options on every menu. We make a special effort to provide interesting and good food for those who have special dietary needs."

My Girlfriend and I just ate at Cafe Roka this weekend. The Staff was polite, skilled and efficient, the ambience was definitely upscale for a small town like Bisbee, and the food was spectacular. There was an astonishly good number of vegetarian-friendly options on the menu, and they were easily able to accommodate our wheat and soy allergy issues as well. The first course was a very small bowl of spicy potato soup that was excellent, the second course was a wonderful little salad with an amazing basil dressing, there was a small bowl of sorbet to cleanse the palate and then the entrees came. I had some incredible risotto cakes with vegetables and a pesto sauce to die for while my girlfriend had a salmon salad with a wonderful citrus sauce. For dessert she had the flourless chocolate cake which simply melted in the mouth and I had the pumpkin ginger cheesecake which was like eating a flavorful cloud. Incredible, wonderful meal. We absolutely loved the restaurant and will be back there any time we are in Bisbee.
I've visited town twice in the last couple weeks, and the staff and the chef have been downright delighted to make sure all the items I've received have been vegan. The chef has cooked up a special vegan dish for me both times. And it wasn't just a matter of leaving something out, these are thoughtful meals with plenty of tastes and textures, including protein. I love the vibe of Cafe Roka and eat there every time I visit Bisbee. Make reservations if you can, but if you don't, the bartender is lovely and will make sure all your vegan items are prepared for you there. I've never seen a staff so willing to go to the kitchen to ask questions to make sure I'm getting what a need. A+ Cafe Roka.
