This is a cute little bakery with a great selection of muffins, cakes, brownies and cookies. Our chocolate cake and pumpkin cake were both rich, creamy and delicious. Service was super-friendly. My only complaint is that the place gets crowded awfully easily and there's only space for about six people to sit (and even then you'll be bumping elbows and brushing up against other patrons). This is a perfect place for take-out vegan sweets, but not as good as a cafe---that said, they bake wonderful desserts and you'll be tempted to take home a variety of different treats.

The first time I went here, I thought the cupcakes were disgusting and didn't know what all the fuss was about. The second time around, I had some mini chocolate brownie bites, which were delicious. Later, I had a cookie sandwich with mint cream filling (from 24 Carrots Juice Bar on the Upper West Side), and it was also delicious.

I hear a lot of good things about this place, so I think my first visit was just on an off-day.

i've had vegan baked goods from places like this in other cities, and this one didn't stack up. the frosting tastes too much like margarine. i'd expect to find a similar product in a regular bakery as the only vegan item. for a vegan specialty shop, it should be better. for the price, its not worth it. try vegan treats (from PA) instead.
also, the service people were snooty and they give vegans a bad name by acting like veganism is a club.

The cupcakes are adorable and mostly tasty, but the vanilla frosting has a strange taste and often becomes strangely shiny/separates a little bit if you don't eat the cupcake right away. The shop itself is also very cute.

I'll admit that the food is good. Great in some cases. The cupcakes/cakes were super tasty, but the cookies were only so-so. But I've found them to be a bit overpriced for what you get - vegan or not.
